Delair-Tech uses 5 bands sensor for agriculture Micansense
On: 2 October 2015 In: Events

Delair and Micasense recently signed an agreement to integrate the Micasense RedEdge sensor into the long range DT18 and DT26X UAV. Combining the best technology for data acquisition and flying operations, Delair aims at targeting the professional agriculture market.

The spectral bands of the Micasens RedEdge sensor (Blue, Green, Red, RedEdge, Near-Infrared) measure the reflectance of a plant at different wavelengths. These bands havebeen specifically chosen to extract useful biophysical index from crop monitoring.
Micasense spectral bandThe MicaSense sensor allows a ground sample distance of 8 cm/pixel per bands at 120 m ( 400 ft) AGL. Combined with the long endurance and long range of DT18 and DT26X this tool is perfect for large crop monitoring.
“ We are happy to be a partner of Micasense. Their technology is the best we could find on the market for multispectral analysis and Micansense confirmed the need for long endurance UAV for the agriculture market” says Benjamin Benharrosh, Head of Business Development and co-founder at Delair.
