PRECIDRONES PROJECT

The context of the project, the economic and environmental stakes of reasoned agriculture are now widely recognized. Spatio-temporal monitoring of the nutritional, water or sanitary status of canopies is a key element in decision-making. However, the use of remote sensing is difficult in agriculture because of technical limitations. Plus, the lack of training and information on Agricultural professionals remains a big problem. Technological developments in the field of visible, infrared and thermal sensors and vectors open the way to a regular, non-destructive and cost-efficient monitoring. Precision agriculture provides a better production by combining agronomy, ecology and technology.

The use of new technologies throughout the consulting chain, from the observation of crops to decision-making helps to meet these new practices. The Precidrones project plans the development of a long-range drone and an efficient image processing through rigorous algorithms. Precision agriculture on large-scale wheat, corn, sunflower and rapeseed crops is now possible.
